Important dates in the development of Channel Crossings
- 2012 – Channel Crossings language school has become a specialist guarantor of the Lingua Show international fair.
- 2012 – Channel Crossings language school has become a member of AJŠA (Association of Language Schools and Agencies in the Czech Republic)
- 2011 – Channel Crossings language agency headed by company owner Lenka Doležalová Pavilková qualified to the final round of the 2010 OCP competition (for the best Czech female entrepreneurs). We are very pleased that out of 9,894 potential candidates our agency has made it among the best 34.
- 2010 – We have obtained the certification of translation services according to EN 15038:2006.
- 2009 – Due to the acquisition of Ulrych Language Studio we have increased the portfolio of company clients and extended the offer of our services.
- 2009 – Channel Crossings offers consultancy in the area of projects and grants from EU funds.
- 2008 - In the spring of 2008 we successfully pass CEPRES:2007 certification and became a holder of the certificate Professional provider of translation services
- 2007 - In February we are granted ISO 9001:2001 certification, thus confirming the high quality of Channel Crossings services.
- 2006 - As a partner for the conference FORUM 2000, we provide interpreting services.
- 2006 - A separate project section is established at the company with responsibility for organising projects of the European Social Fund. In the first year we worked on two European projects.
- 2005 - We enter the competition For the Best Company with Equal Opportunities for Women and Men in the Czech Republic for 2005, and receive a special award in the small firms category.
- 2004 - We receive the award European Label 2004 for innovative projects in language teaching and learning.
- 2003 - In the spring of 2003 we celebrate 10 years of successful activity in the home market.
- 2002 - The branches on Dřevná and Palackého streets are combined in a new and modern office building on Lazarská street 8/13E, Prague 2.
- 2001 - At the language school in Prague - Radotín we open multimedia classrooms with 15 PCs and language software EuroPlus+ Reward.
- 1999 - We open a further education centre at Palackého 15.
- 1998 - We open a new education centre at Vrážská 238, in Prague 5 - Radotín.
- 1998 - Channel Crossings was classified in Decree 183/98 Sb. MŠMT ČR among schools providing one-year language study for school leavers, which for the purposes of state social security and pension insurance is considered study at high school or university.
- 1997 - We open a branch at Dřevná 4, Prague 2.
- 1996 - We expand our activities and establish a new section Study Abroad, which arranges language courses abroad in cooperation with a range of accredited foreign schools around the world.
- 1994 - The language agency increases the scope of its services to include other foreign languages - German, French, Spanish, Italian etc.
- 1993 - Mgr. Lenka Pavilková and Floyd Curtis establish the language agency focussed on individual and group lessons of English as well as translation and interpreting services in English.
